Performance

imageLate in term one the students from Mr Z and Ms Whelan’s class got some shocking news. We got told that we would be showing a performance to a lot of kids, on Friday the 10th of June. We all had to get into small groups and come up with ideas that would impress the audience. The group that I was in, consisted of Marc Moroianu, Jacob Thomas, Larz Klomp and Tyson Shortridge. Our group name was the Comedian Club. In our performance we did a Monk, ballet and a Star Wars comedy skit. The audience loved it. Our introduction was a dance to Dum De Dum, but while acting like elderly with walking sticks. Other groups had great ideas like dance, trickshots and even minecraft for their performance. After showing what we worked on, we did a workshop, we had them make their own skit which was very funny to watch. Within our group we had a few ups and downs when rehearsing like the occasional going off task, not agreeing on ideas and having someone away. But besides those cons everything was great. We all learnt that being organised is really important when creating a performance and also to get as much as we can done in a practice lesson. Well, in the end, it was a great day.
